Licensed Practice Addendum
This addendum applies whenever an account identifies its profession as a licensed or otherwise regulated practice — including mortgage and lending, legal services, health and clinical care, financial advice, insurance, and tax and accounting — or otherwise uses Ottocal in connection with regulated activity.

Limited product scope
Ottocal provides general scheduling, contact-management, video meeting, and administrative workflow software. It is not a licensed professional, an advice or recommendation engine, an application or intake portal for regulated transactions, a pricing or underwriting system, a credit-reporting agency, an electronic health record, a system of record for a regulated file, or a substitute for the host's own compliant systems.
Nothing produced in Ottocal — including AI drafts, recaps, summaries, tasks, or emails — is professional advice, a decision, a quote, a diagnosis, a legal opinion, an eligibility determination, or a disclosure. The host is solely responsible for reviewing and approving anything sent to a client.
Eligibility and jurisdiction
- The host must hold every licence, registration, and authorization required for the activity the host schedules through Ottocal.
- Where Ottocal collects a licence attestation, the host must provide a valid individual identifier and, where applicable, a firm or company identifier for the practice.
- The host must identify each U.S. state or jurisdiction in which the host is authorized to conduct the proposed activity.
- The host must promptly update Ottocal if a licence expires, is suspended, or changes scope.
Data that must not be collected
Do not request or enter Social Security numbers, dates of birth, bank or card numbers, credit scores, income, assets, debts, tax returns, pay stubs, clinical or diagnostic records, case files, or other regulated application or record documents in Ottocal intake forms, responses, notes, transcripts, or AI prompts. Use your own compliant system of record for those.
Mortgage and lending practices
Booking links for mortgage and lending activity must be free. Ottocal does not accept an application, quote a rate or APR, recommend a loan product, estimate loan terms, make an eligibility or credit decision, collect application documents, or accept payment for mortgage services. Publishing requires a verified licence attestation, and public booking is limited to the states on the host's verified list.
The host remains responsible for the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Regulation B, the Fair Housing Act, the SAFE Act and Regulation H or G, RESPA and Regulation X, TILA and Regulation Z, UDAAP restrictions, licensing disclosures, NMLS advertising rules, state mortgage law, and any other applicable requirement.
Other regulated practices
Legal, health and clinical, financial advice, insurance, and tax and accounting hosts keep full use of paid bookings, CRM, and AI features, and remain solely responsible for professional conduct rules, confidentiality and privilege, HIPAA or equivalent health-privacy law, fiduciary and suitability duties, advertising and disclosure rules, and record-retention obligations that apply to their practice.
Booking an appointment through Ottocal does not by itself create an attorney-client, clinician-patient, advisory, or fiduciary relationship, and Ottocal displays a disclosure to that effect on the public booking page.
Fair treatment and advertising
Ottocal may not be used to steer, rank, exclude, discourage, or treat a person differently based on a protected characteristic, or to publish a price, outcome, approval, or other regulated claim without the review and disclosures your regime requires.
AI, communications, and recordings
AI output for a regulated practice is limited to neutral administrative content and may not make a decision, provide a quote or terms estimate, give professional advice, or recommend a product. Commercial follow-ups require recorded consent and must honor opt-outs. Ottocal does not automatically record or transcribe booking rooms for regulated practices.
Suspension and review
Ottocal may unpublish or suspend a workflow when licensing, authorization, data handling, advertising, fair-treatment, or other compliance concerns arise. Questions and verification documents may be sent to hello@ottocal.com.
